On Friday, February 28, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine launched the mobile application "Ukrenergo," which is designed to notify users about the status of the energy system in various regions. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
It is noted that the application was developed in collaboration with the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" and the Danish Energy Agency. The app aims to inform users about the state of the electricity grid and the availability of electricity in each region.
“The goal of the development is to minimize electricity consumption by users during periods of limited supply to avoid emergency shutdowns,” – stated the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
According to Lars Aagaard, the Danish Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities, the application will notify users when there is a deficit in the energy system. It is expected that users of the app will reduce their consumption following notifications from "Ukrenergo" to help maintain system stability.
The app also includes recommendations on how consumers can reduce their electricity consumption. It is available for download on Play Market and App Store.
