On the evening of Tuesday, December 3, a man died in a residential building fire in Zymna Voda, near Lviv. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Lviv region.
The report of a fire in a brick residential building on Luhova Street in the village of Zymna Voda was received by the rescuers at 19:45. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the house was partially engulfed in flames. Using breathing apparatus and protective goggles, the rescuers began to extinguish the fire and search for people inside the building.
A man was carried out from the burning house. Rescuers immediately initiated resuscitation efforts and tried to save him for an extended period, later joined by medical personnel. Despite all efforts, they were unable to save the 55-year-old man. The firefighters localized the fire at 20:26 and extinguished it at 20:31. The house was saved from complete destruction.
According to reports from the Zymnovodivska village council, another person was injured in the fire. Medical assistance was promptly provided, and their condition is currently assessed as stable. Preliminary conclusions by specialists suggest that the cause of the fire was the introduction of an external flame.
