The law enforcement officers tracked down the driver who performed a drift in the pedestrian square in the center of Vynogradiv. Administrative protocols were drawn up against the 17-year-old resident of Transcarpathia, and the car was seized.
Video footage from surveillance cameras that captured the offender in Myru Square in Vynogradiv was shared on December 23 by Vitaliy Hlahola, a deputy of the Uzhhorod City Council.
“Local teenagers Ivan Fedyo, Maksym Sheptenko, and Mykhailo Khrypta decided to have some fun ahead of the holidays. One was drifting in an old BMW while the other filmed it for TikTok. They chose an unexpected location for their antics – the pedestrian area of the square, which had recently been renovated,” – wrote Vitaliy Hlahola on Telegram.
According to the police in the Transcarpathian region, they reported that the driver, a 17-year-old resident of Vynogradiv, was located.
“Administrative materials were drawn up against the minor for part 2 of Article 126, part 2 of Article 122, and part 1 of Article 122 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, meaning driving a vehicle without documents, exceeding the established speed limits, passing a red traffic signal, and violating other traffic rules,” – the police stated.
As reported by local media, the participants in the drifting were required to restore the square. In the video from Ungvar, it can be seen how the teenagers are cleaning the pavement on December 23.
The authorities seized the BMW and placed it in the impound lot.
