The "Lviv Educational Award" honored 150 winners.
In Lviv, 150 winners of the "Lviv Educational Award" were honored. For the first time, three laureates received 100,000 hryvnias each, while all others were awarded 35,000 hryvnias. This was announced on December 22 by Lviv's mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
The 100,000 UAH award and prizes from partners (a laptop and a trip to Finland) were received by:
- Best Teacher – Galyna Chepak, a primary school teacher at school No. 86. She is the initiator of projects such as "A Day with an Eco-Bag," greening the school yard, "Healthy Snack," and various charitable actions. She dreams of creating a relaxation corner for teachers at the school.
- Best Educator – Olena Bushchak, a speech therapist at kindergarten No. 153. She is the author of a methodology for speech therapists working with children in difficult life circumstances. She is the organizer and coordinator of the Montessori pedagogy cabinet at her kindergarten. She dreams of establishing a development center to support families during challenging times.
- Best Club Leader – Taras Oleksyn, the leader of the "Guides School" club at the Center for Tourism, Sports, and Excursions. He considers his key achievements to be the digitalization of the center's operations, the development of numerous quests and courses, and the creation of the first official guide to the Sykhiv district of Lviv. He dreams of transforming the Center into a youth hub with tourism, historical, sports, media, and educational programs that will be genuinely sought after by children and young people.

“Choosing the best among the worthy is the most challenging task. However, this award motivates us to move forward and broaden our horizons. The more we invest in education, the more we invest in our own future. We are developing education together because it is important,” emphasized the mayor of Lviv.
It is worth noting that starting next year, talented and professional teachers will be able to earn salaries of up to 30,000 hryvnias. Additional bonuses are planned for educators who pass a three-level competitive selection. The city council also recognized the best students of Lviv. The 15 most successful students in the city received 30,000 UAH each as a reward.
