Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) apprehended former head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Yevhen Borysov, in Kyiv. He had just been released from pre-trial detention after posting bail today.
Earlier today, bail was set at 39.364 million hryvnias for him.
The DBR received information that after his release from the detention center, Borysov intended to evade the investigation, particularly by attempting to leave the country.
"DBR agents detained the former official in Kyiv today, December 25. He has been notified of suspicions regarding new criminal offenses," the Bureau explained.
