President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. Their meeting was closed to the press. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As Sybiha explained, during the meeting with Erdoğan, they discussed support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, including Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories belonging to Ukraine.
I emphasized Ukraine's interest in further developing cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey, particularly in the defense sector. I also stressed the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. We also discussed pathways to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.
Earlier, Sybiha piqued interest with "historic decisions" following his conversation with Blinken.
