In Zaporizhzhia, police prevented a triple murder and arrested the mastermind who promised 15 million UAH for the elimination of her ex-husband and his family. This was reported by the National Police.
During the investigation, it was revealed that after divorcing her ex-husband, the 34-year-old woman, with two young children in her care, began planning the murder of her former relatives to seize their millions and shared property.
To carry out her plan, she found a hitman, who the police managed to persuade to cooperate. During several meetings, under police supervision, the mastermind finalized the details of the murders of her ex-relatives. The executor was supposed to stage a robbery attack resulting in the elimination of her ex-husband and take 30 million UAH.

He was also tasked with killing the biological brother of the ex-husband and later the former mother-in-law. After these acts, the mastermind would become the sole owner of all the property. The woman promised to pay the "liquidator" half of this sum as payment for the "services" after receiving photographic confirmation of the murders. For the preparation, she paid the executor $1600 and 8,000 UAH.

On December 21, police staged the murders of the mastermind's ex-husband and his brother, after which the hitman informed the woman about the "elimination" of the two victims and sent her photos from the crime scene.

The woman met with the hitman and paid part of the promised sum. She was immediately detained by law enforcement. Investigators informed her of the charges:
- Part 1 of Article 14, Part 3 of Article 27, Subparagraphs 1, 6, 11 of Part 2 of Article 115 (preparation for intentional murder of two or more persons for mercenary motives on order);
- Part 1 of Article 14, Part 3 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 187 (preparation for robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The mastermind of the group murder has been placed in custody. She faces up to 15 years of imprisonment.
