Norway is allocating an additional 2.7 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately $242.38 million) to enhance Ukraine's maritime defense.
This is mentioned in a statement by the country’s Prime Minister, Jonas Găr Stăre.
Among other things, funds will be allocated to protect people in Ukraine from attacks, mine clearance, and training of Ukrainian military personnel.
“Ukraine requires greater support to weaken Russian naval forces in the Black Sea in the future. This is essential for protecting the Ukrainian population and infrastructure from assaults by the Russian Black Sea Fleet. It is also crucial to safeguard the export of grain and other goods by sea, which provides significant revenue for Ukraine,” added Stăre.
Let us remind you that representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Kingdom of Norway have agreed on further cooperation in military training of personnel. Training will continue in 2025 as well.
