SBU: The enemy has been preparing a cyberattack on Ukraine's state registries for several months.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Justice Minister Olga Stefanishina, and a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) during a joint press conference.

They reported that a criminal investigation has been initiated regarding the cyberattack, which may have been carried out by a hacker group linked to the Russian GRU. The operation of all registries has been suspended. The SBU was unable to confirm whether the enemy gained access to information from the registries.

Stefanishina stated that there are backup copies of the registries available, so once it is safe, they will resume their normal operations, and there is no risk of irretrievability.

It is worth noting that due to the malfunction of several state registries, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been forced to suspend certain registration services related to vehicle ownership changes.
