Ambassadors from the G7 nations in Ukraine have responded to the situation surrounding the Defense Procurement Agency following Defense Minister Rustem Umerov's decision not to extend the contract of its head, Marina Bezrukova.

  • On January 24, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that the ministry would not extend the contract with the head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova, because arms purchases "have turned into 'Amazon'."
  • According to Umerov, the head of the State Supply Operator, Arsen Jumadilov, will be appointed as the director of the Defense Procurement Agency. Jumadilov stated that he agrees to lead the agency "during these challenging times."
