Details: On Wednesday, February 26, the Ukrainian side reportedly received a message from Washington stating that Zelensky's visit and meeting with Trump would not take place.
Following this, the President of Ukraine called Emmanuel Macron, who then spoke with Donald Trump, urging him to accept Zelensky.
Ultimately, Trump changed his mind and announced Zelensky's visit for February 28.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that during the meeting with Trump, he plans to ask him, among other things, whether U.S. support for Ukraine will continue and what Ukraine can expect, as well as inquire about the discussions between Washington and Moscow regarding Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that the issue of security guarantees in the context of the "mineral agreement" with the U.S. is a key concern for him, and the outcome of his upcoming conversation with Trump will determine whether the mineral agreement will succeed or "quietly pass by."
