Details: According to sources from CNN, after the public portion of the meeting between Trump and Zelensky concluded, the American president, along with his advisors, moved to a separate room.
He held consultations with Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, and other advisors.
It was at this point that Trump ultimately decided that Zelensky "was not in a position to negotiate," CNN reports, and instructed Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to convey the message that the Ukrainian president should leave.
A White House representative told the channel that the Ukrainians opposed this and wanted to continue negotiations, but their request was denied. Shortly after this, Zelensky departed.
Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House early on Friday following a dispute with Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance.
In response, Donald Trump stated that the Ukrainian president "disregarded" the United States, and that Volodymyr Zelensky "is not ready for peace."
Support for Ukraine and Zelensky has already been declared by several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
