Details: Voltz stated that the Biden administration did not inform him in advance about the decision regarding long-range strikes on Russia.
"And this is, you know, another step towards escalation, and no one knows where it will lead. North Korea is sending ballistic missiles, artillery, and now – tens of thousands of soldiers. The administration (Biden's – Ed.) is responding by lifting restrictions. North Korea is sending even more soldiers. South Korea claims it may enter the war," he listed.
As an example of escalation, the future Trump advisor mentioned Iran's oil sales to China, which it uses to send missiles and drones to Russia, "and those, in turn, strike Ukrainian critical infrastructure."
"So this (Biden's authorization – Ed.) is an event, but tactical. President Trump talks about a grand strategy: how can we get both sides to the negotiating table to end this war? What should the framework of the agreement be, and who will sit at that table?" Voltz noted.
Earlier, media reported that US President Joe Biden granted Ukraine permission to use long-range American weapons – ATACMS missiles – against territory in the Russian Federation for the first time.
According to Axios, this pertains to the Kursk region, and the decision is intended as a response to the involvement of North Korean troops in the war.
The White House refused to directly confirm Ukraine's authorization to use long-range missiles against military targets located in Russia, but recalled that they were developing a response to the involvement of DPRK troops in the war.
