Details: It has been reported that as part of an operational combination, it was established that the deputy commander responsible for logistics in the unit decided to embezzle expensive equipment. The documentation he prepared indicated that 24 night vision devices were lost in combat conditions. The value of the equipment amounts to nearly 4 million hryvnias.

It is reported that he actually ordered his subordinates to hide the property in a pile of garbage at one of the warehouses.

During searches at the locations of the military unit, particularly in its storage facilities and the residence of the suspect, law enforcement officials seized tangible evidence of illegal activity.

He has been informed of the suspicion of embezzling military property belonging to other servicemen, committed by a military official with abuse of power, causing significant harm, committed under conditions of martial law.

The court has chosen a preventive measure for the military in the form of detention with an alternative bail set at 7.7 million hryvnias.
