Direct quote: "We will definitely continue to strike at Russian military targets – with drones and missiles, increasingly using Ukrainian ones, specifically at those military bases and that Russian military infrastructure which is utilized in such terror against our people."
Our defense is absolutely just. I thank everyone around the world who supports Ukraine in this, and particularly supports the need to increase defense spending in European countries, to modernize and enhance arsenals in Europe. And thanks to all who are ensuring increased pressure on Russia for this war."
Details: The president noted that the clearing of debris and rubble in Kyiv after the missile attack on December 20 was completed on Saturday, and work continues in Kherson following the impact of Russian bombs on the oncology dispensary.
"This dispensary operated even during the war in a limited capacity – only what could not be transferred from Kherson to other hospitals in the region. Specifically, the linear accelerator was only there, in Kherson, and radiotherapy could only be received in the city at that location. The Russians could not have been unaware that this was a medical facility, and very valuable for the residents of Kherson. This targeted strike is nothing short of mockery of the people," emphasized Zelensky.
What preceded this: On the night of December 21, Russian occupation forces struck the oncology dispensary in Kherson from the air, launching two UAVs. Patients and medical staff were unharmed; however, the building suffered significant damage.
